Why do we cream Manuka honey?

Manuka Honey is a tea tree honey and in its natural state is a course honey that crystalises at a high temperature. Genuine, pure Manuka Honey imported from New Zealand would arrive in a crystalised and unpalatable form during shipping. Creaming is an effective way to keep the honey smooth and user friendly.

Active 12+ Organic Manuka Honey is the closest thing to nature. Tested active, cold press Manuka Honey is basically straight from the bees to you and is also what is used in our skin care range.  Creaming is a technique, nothing is added to the honey. By removing a small potion of honey from the vat and introducing air, the crystals change shape and when the whipped honey is introduced back to the vat the remaining honey takes on the shape of the whipped crystals. Hence the soft creamed appearance.

Why is cold pressed better for you?

Honeys are generally heated to increase their flow for cheap extraction and filtering purposes to remove bees and small particles in the natural honey. This is often excessive and destroys much of the rich nutritional values and integrity of the honey.
